Eshaan graduated from New York University with a Bachelor of Arts, concentrating in Neuroscience, Environmental Studies, and Physics (2022-2026).
As an undergraduate, his interest in neurodegenerative diseases began during his summer internships at Gladstone Institutes in Dr Jorge Palop’s lab. There, he helped investigate the role of activated microglia in Alzheimer’s disease. He then joined Dr Eric Klann’s lab at NYU’s Center for Neural Science, where he helped research astrocytic regulation in neuronal translation.
As a member of the Liddelow Lab, Eshaan will be collaborating with Dr Holly Gildea to investigate how reactive astrocytes alter lipid metabolism and how such changes affect neuronal and glial health.
