Lin graduated from University of California, Berkeley with a Bachelors in Molecular and Cellular Biology (Neurobiology emphasis) and a Bachelors in Psychology (2019-23).

As an undergraduate, she worked at Lawrence Berkeley National Lab, in the Expression and Molecular Biology Lab Core under Dr Miaw-Sheue Tsai, investigating more efficient expression methods of large DNA damage response protein kinases, with the goal of better understanding the pathways controlling genetic integrity and developing mechanistic knowledge of DNA repair machines and cancer biology.

As a member of the Liddelow Lab, Lin will be collaborating with Amy Guo to understand astrocyte homeostasis and the recovery of reactive astrocytes in neurodegenerative disease models.
